The first class and the next one.

The learning objectives of this particular class were simple... lets immerse ourselves into the research methods of BMI. projects were assigned and brief overview of research projects was presented.

  2. The research project information was brief and I'm hopeful to have more information in future classes. Assuming the research problems / topics this year are different than the last class, are there examples of reports and/or summaries you'd be willing to post for the class to review? Debbie Carter

  3. Debbie,

The research projects are an addition to this years class (so sample reports are not available). More information about what is expected will be provided in future classes.

  4. This research project is a new addition to this course. You will get more information from me (Kanav) as time goes on but it is not different from writing a paper for a class

  5. There are atleast 2-3 people who have same reaserch project.I wish to ask Prof kanav whether we can do a collaberative work together and present it individually or whether it should be done alone. As I have my project based on EMR and there are 2-3 people who are from medical background and have loads of experince can be helpful for my project.

  6. Hi Ashutosh,

The projects are individual projects only. Students are encouraged to discuss topics and ask questions through the blog. Depending on your project definition, if you are missing some key knowledge (a clinical perspective in your case) please contact Dr Kahol or me so we can help you out. Using the blog to stimulate discussions with your peers is strongly encouraged.

  7. I found the first class to be interesting. Kanav is certainly entertaining/amusing. Seems like we are all in the same boat with the projects. We would appreciate more direction, but I see that it's already been promised. Thanks for any guidance you (or anyone) can provide.
