It is really lucky for me to have the chance to attend AMIA conference at the first year of my graduate study. As I was entirely new to this area, I was in confusion in the last three months. I had no idea of what was the direction of my future development as well as what I could do for this area.
In this conference, I listened to a series of science sessions an communicated with people in this area. Finally I find out what an amazing area it is. Biomedical Informatics is an area requiring creativity and imagination and can produce real effect to real people in real time. I was so excited to be exposed to brainstorms of researchers in biomedical informatics. Though I could not understand most of the technical details, a lot of ideas have been inspired.
