BMI502Post

We have had another useful and excellent lecture from Dr. Petitti. This time the topic was validity and the use of risk ratio, odds ratios, and hazard ratios. Truth is the key and must be internal and external. Randomization is feature of this and the external applicability relates to being able to generalize. Type II error avoidance is a part of this quest for validity. I will want to try some of the power analysis and use these principles even more intensively in studies that I design. This analysis by Dr. Petitti provides a template to further evaluate other studies in the literature.
